The Library of Glissant Studies is a collective project which would not be possible without the help and support of dozen of dedicated individuals and institutions across the world. Our team aim at developing researches in the field of Glissant Studies by indexing information, and facilitating collaborations between scholars, students, and universities.
Christian Uwe is Assistant Professor in the Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on questions of aesthetics, poetics and their political ramifications particularly in Caribbean, Sub-Saharan and contemporary French literatures. He is the author of several studies on Glissant’s work including a comprehensive essay on the latter’s body of novels titled, Le Discours choral: Essai sur l’oeuvre romanesque Édouard Glissant (Peter Lang, 2017). Uwe’s research has also appeared in a number of refereed journals, edited volumes and he participated in numerous international conferences some of which he organized. He is currently working on a second book project tentatively titled Écrire l’Afrique contemporaine : critique des fictions de la francophonie subsaharienne et ses diasporas.
